Marco Bartoli graduated with highest honors from the F. Morlacchi Conservatory of Perugia, under the guidance of Leonardo De Angelis. He continued his studies at the Musik Akademie der Stadt-Basel, earning Master’s degrees in Music Performance and Instrumental Didactics.
An accomplished guitarist, Marco has won numerous national and international competitions, including the Tim, Hyperion, F. Jalenti, and G. Rospigliosi competitions. He has also received prestigious scholarships such as the Luigi Castellani and Marcello Cricchi Prizes.
Marco’s career spans solo classical guitar, acoustic and electric jazz, and a range of collaborative projects. He has performed with renowned ensembles such as the Menna String Quartet, the Orchestra del Teatro Lirico Sperimentale "A. Belli," and the Orchestra Sinfonica del Tuscia Operafestival, and collaborated with artists including Alessio Pianelli, Lena Kiepenheuer, Daniel Behle, and Maruta Staravoitava. His performances have taken him to prestigious venues such as Helsinki Cathedral, Jazz Campus Basel, Estonian Music Academy, Teatro Caio Melisso, and many others. His album ‘La Danza’ blends classical and South American music with elements of jazz.

Jazz Guitar Duo with Italian guitarist Samuele Sorana.
Pop Duo ‘The Brushé’ with South African singer Daniel Van der Walt, featuring the recently released EP “Whisper Softly”.
Rock Band ‘The Kults’ , where he plays guitar and synthesizer alongside a singer, a drummer and a bassist, composing exclusively original songs.
As a dedicated promoter, Marco founded “Musithèque”, an association organizing concerts in Basel at venues such as Markthalle and Damatti Bar-Bistró.
Marco also gives masterclasses in classical repertoire and jazz improvisation and currently teaches classical and jazz/pop guitar at Gymnasium Liestal and Musikschule Allschwil in Switzerland.
